To celebrate the launch of Communitea, a community cafe and cultural hub - we are hosting a gathering for local residents and friends in South Norwood to get to know this new space, which aims to serve its community through delicious hearty food, unique workshops, and a supportive environment.
During this event we will facilitate a tea-blending workshop to explore the journey of tea and herbs which have traveled across cultures and borders, in parallel to similar stories of human migration today.
Get immersed in the expereince of making and tasting different herbal teas and their connection to our mental and physical wellbeing.
How do you consume tea in your homeland? What is the social importance of tea (or coffee) to you? What can you learn about yourself and your habits from the way that you consume this globally significant beverage? These are some discussion topics we are excited to hear about during this event.
London is a culturally rich city which thrives from the multitude of communities that make it vibrant. This workshop aims to celebrate these characteristics through a collective discussion and experience of tea.
This workshop is hosted by Yalla Hub - a social business hub for migrant women in South London - in collaboration with Communitea.
